Naturalist Space

The difference between an amateur draftsman and a naturalist is that a naturalist understands how to organize nature in a schema of grouped value-shapes.

Apprehension of space is the act of recognizing localized value-shapes and connecting them into a schematic arrangement with other value-shapes. Space registers as natural when the patterns of value-shape arrangement correspond to both our learned and our genetically enduring spatial cues.
